On Christmas eve, a party was taking place in 7th Heaven to celebrate the new year and the following day.

Cloud and tifa have been seperated the enire party and, Cloud was looking back at Tifa from time to time, hoping there might be a chance to snatch her away from the crowd of freinds and family in the bar. Tifa wanted the same, she wanted to be with cloud alone that night.

As a space cleared from a herd of people, Cloud found his chance. walked across the bar and quickly took tifa by the hand, and was guided to the back of the bar in the alley way. Tifa, wide eyed, was suprised by cloud's random actions. it had been many months since the incedent with kadaj. after cloud gathered courage to confess to tifa, and have now been dating for quite some time now. they have expressed their feelings for one another with great passion. but havent had the time to show it.


"Cloud? what are you-" her words hung in the air from cloud's sudden embrace.
Clouds arms were wrapped around tifa's waist securely, and he slowly released only to look deeply into her eyes with a small smirk that outlined his lips.
"theres hasn't been much time to be with you alone anymore" he said with a pained voice.

" Cloud..." she said concerned, " I.. i wanted to spent some more time with you tonight. we finally had some time off, but there just hasnt been the chance too."
they embraced each other once again, and exchanged a deep loving kiss, that had a certain longing.

"tifa..." said cloud with hesitation.
"?.."
" i wanted to save this for a chrismas present tomorrow, but..."
"what is it?" asked tifa.
cloud looked a t tifa passionately, and searched his pockets until he pulled out a small black box wrapped with a bright red ribbon, and slowley got down on one knee.
tifa felt as if she just fell and got he wind knocked out of her. her eyes began to water, and realeased a small squeek.
cloud looked up at her lovingly from the ground, and showed here a gold band with a key engraved on the inside of it. he slowley pulled it out and held it in front of her.
"Tifa, we've known eachother since childhood.." he said feeling a lag in his speech," but i dont want the years to be limited, i want them to stretch on. and i want to spend my years with you... if you'll have me." cloud looked up at tifas tear stained face hoping for...
"yes." she said smiling radiantly," of course, of course!"
tifas tear overwhelemed her face and jumped to cloud, and they exchanged a long kiss that seemed like hours. cloud was smiling like a geek.
tifa eagerly slipped on the ring. "cloud, what is the engraved key for?" she asked curiously.
"thats the key to my heart."
